I recently stayed at Daban Homestay during my transit in Ella, and I have to say, it was a convenient choice. the homestay is located just 86 km from the nearest airport, making it a convenient option for travelers like me who are looking for a comfortable place to rest during a layover. the homestay had easy access to public transportation, allowing me to explore the surrounding area effortlessly. it provided a great location for a quick stay.

While my overall experience at Daban Homestay was positive, there was one minor issue. The doors to my balcony didn't shut properly, so I had to sleep with them slightly open.

The apartment was fairly clean and located very close to the mountains and the center and the hill. The location was unbeatable on the train tracks, and had everything you needed. Room was budget, light and complete with mountain view and trees from the bed, as example. We could enjoy views over the valley and the sunset.

Stunning mountain views from clean and comfy rooms. Delicious Sri Lankan breakfast with eggs, toast, and fresh fruit. Friendly and attentive hosts who offer tea/coffee in the afternoon. Convenient location, a short tuk-tuk ride from the village. Peaceful and tranquil atmosphere.

The place was away from the main road, marvellous and stunning spot. Good staff, made the stay awesome. The breakfast was amazing with fruits, amazing view, beautiful views🙂😀

the location was perfect for my needs, as the nearest airport was only 86 km away. This made it easy for me to catch my flight without any hassle. the homestay itself was cozy and comfortable, providing all the basic amenities that I needed for a short stay. It was a great value for the price and I was satisfied with the overall experience.

One minor inconvenience I experienced during my stay was the slow WiFi connection. However, I didn't find this to be a major problem as I believe that when you're in a place like Ella, surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty, it's much more enjoyable to disconnect from technology and appreciate the stunning views instead.

This place is comfortable, fairly clean, and comes with all basic amenities, with brand-new rooms that are airy, and has friendly staff who treat guests like family.

I absolutely loved the terrace at Daban Homestay Ella. It was such a delightful spot to relax and take in the breathtaking views of the mountains. The comfortable chairs and table made it easy for me to enjoy a cup of tea or read a book while enjoying the peaceful surroundings. The accessibility of the terrace was also great for senior people like me. I appreciate that the hotel had thoughtfully designed spaces that catered to the needs of older guests.

The only thing I would have asked for during my vacation was a bit more assistance from the children working at the hotel. Although they were polite, I found it difficult to communicate with them sometimes, especially when I needed recommendations or directions.

The guestrooms at Daban Homestay Ella are fantastic! They have 24-hour room service, which is awesome for late-night cravings. The separate sitting areas are really cozy and perfect for relaxing after a long day of exploring. And the best part? Free WiFi! So we could stay connected with our friends and share our amazing adventures.

Personally, the one thing I liked less was that not all units had a balcony. But hey, it's just my preference.

Nestled in the hills, this place was a real gem. The staff was super friendly and kind throughout our stay. The property itself was lovely, and honestly, we didn't want to say goodbye! 🌿

No separation between shower and toilet.

Daban Homestay offered great value for money with cozy rooms and an amazing view. The location was a bit further from the center, but the staff made up for it with their helpfulness and warm hospitality.

The morning meal could have been improved with more variety.

We had a fantastic stay at Daban Homestay. The room was clean and had a stunning view of Ella rock. The family running the homestay were incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The breakfast and dinner provided were delicious and plentiful. Yes, the building is still under construction, but it didn't affect our stay at all. I highly recommend this homestay for a comfortable and relaxing stay in Ella.

The guest house offers a huge and comfortable bed, perfect for a light sleeper. the owner is super friendly and helpful, even providing free transportation to Ella Rock. the breakfast includes delicious Sri Lankan pancakes and roti.

Felt so taken care of, no complaints whatsoever.
